Det här programmet är till för att hantera turneringsspel inom olika typer av idrotter. Programmet har funktioner för att registrera/ta bort turneringar, lägga in/ta bort spelare och matcher, samt för att lägga in/nollställa matchresultat. Givetvis kan du, när du så önskar, se den aktuella tabellen för respektive turnering. I programmet finns också en funktion för att generera matchprogram för turneringen som du arbetar med.
De tävlingsregister som skapas kan anpassas utifrån olika förutsättningar. Tävla enklare har ett administrationsgränssnitt med olika behörighetsnivåer. Det är bland annat möjligt för programadministratörer att välja om användare ska kunna registrera sig själva eller inte, samt att hantera användare och deras befogenheter.
I den här versionen har säkerheten förbättrats för programmets formulär.

a) Ersätt filerna i den mapp där Tävla enklare ligger med de filer som finns i zippfilen med skriptfilerna för den här versionen, "tenk.zip".
b) Gå in på rotadressen till tävlingsregistret, exempelvis:

Därefter görs uppdateringen automatiskt. Du behöver alltså inte installera om Tävla enklare - dina gamla konfigurationsinställningar sparas.
c) Klart - Tävla enklare är uppdaterat!
När Tävla enklare är uppdaterat ska du ta bort samma filer som vid en installation av programmet. För info om vilka filer det gäller, se avsnittet "Installation".
OBS! Om du har installerat om Tävla enklare från en äldre version än 2.0 måste du installera om programmet. Du måste också logga in på administrationsgränssnittet och ställa in vilka användare som ska ha rätt att registrera turneringar. Efter en uppdatering från en äldre version än 2.0 har nämligen ingen av de befintliga användarna den rättigheten. I avsnittet "Arbeta i administrationsgränssnittet" beskriver jag hur administrationsgränssnittet för Tävla enklare fungerar. I nästa avsnitt kommer instruktioner för hur du installerar den här versionen av Tävla enklare.
Här kommer information om hur du installerar respektive avinstallerar Tävla enklare.
a) Se till att du har MySQL 4.1.3 eller bättre, PHP 5 eller bättre, en fungerande webbserver som är konfigurerad för att stödja PHP och MySQL, samt att ditt PHP-paket är konfigurerat för att stödja MySQLI (MySQL Improved Extension) och mbstring (Multibyte String).
MySQLI och mbstring är tillägg som följer med PHP. Om de här tilläggen inte redan är aktiverade kan man ändra inställningarna för tilläggen i konfigurationsfilen för PHP (php.ini).
OBS! När du avinstallerar det här programmet kommer databasen som registret arbetar mot att tas bort. Av den här anledningen ska du se till att det inte redan finns en databas med det namn som du använder när du installerar Tävla enklare. Du måste också kontrollera så att inte data som inte har med Tävla enklare att göra läggs in i databasen i fråga.
OBS! Se till att PHP är konfigurerat för att använda samma teckenuppsättning som din MySQL-server är inställd för. Man kan ändra standardinställningen för teckenuppsättning genom att ändra på värdet för "default_charset" i filen php.ini.
b) Packa upp filen "tenk.zip" med något program som hanterar zippfiler. Packa upp zippfilens innehåll till en tom mapp, som ligger i webbträdet. OBS! Se till att alla PHP-filerna i den här mappen har samma teckenuppsättning som MySQL-servern är konfigurerad för. De filer som inte har namn som slutar på .php ska ha samma teckenuppsättning som webbservern är konfigurerad för. Webbservern och MySQL-servern är inte alltid konfigurerade för samma teckenuppsättning.
OBS! Se till att filen "tenk.zip" finns i samma mapp som de filer som du packade upp; detta för att det ska vara möjligt att ladda hem programmets källkod även från din webbplats. Om du gör förändringar i källkoden (programmets skriptfiler) ska du byta ut de gamla versionerna av skriptfilerna mot de nya, förändrade, filerna i den zippfil som innehåller programmets källkod. Detta gör att de som laddar hem källkoden från din webbplats får din uppdaterade version av programmet.
VIKTIGT!! Om du distribuerar en uppdaterad version av programmet, var noga med att inte lämna ut konfigurationsfilen med uppgifter om bland annat databasanvändarna och huvudadministratören, "config.php". Du ska bara ge ut standardfilen för konfigurationen av Tävla enklare, "standard.php". Den här filen finns i zippfilen med programmets skriptfiler, "tenk.zip".
c) Se till så att det finns skrivrättigheter till katalogen "config". Om servern finns på en dator med UNIX/Linux ska chmod sättas till 777 för katalogen "config".
d) Gå in på webbadressen till installationsfilen, exempelvis:

VIKTIGT!! Ta bort filerna "inst.php" och "avinst.php" ur webbträdet, så inte vem som helst, oavsiktligt eller medvetet, får för sig att avinstallera Tävla enklare, eller att installera om programmet. Du bör även ta bort filen "uppd.php", som enbart används för att uppdatera Tävla enklare från en tidigare version än 2.4.7. Av praktiska skäl kan det vara bra om du även tar bort den här filen, "lasmig.htm", ur webbträdet, så de som inte behöver den här informationen inte stöter på den här filen av misstag. I Tävla enklare följer det med två indexfiler för varje katalog (huvudkatalogen samt underkatalogen "config"). Dessa indexfiler har namnen "index.php" och "index.html". Observera att du bara ska behålla en av de här båda filerna för respektive katalog. Vilka av filerna du ska behålla beror på om din server är inställd för att använda filer med namnet "index.php" som indexfiler eller inte. Om det är möjligt bör du behålla filerna som heter "index.php", eftersom de här filerna hanteras snabbare under programkörning än filerna med namnet "index.html".
a) Gå in på webbadressen till avinstallationsfilen, exempelvis:

Observera att tävlingsregistrets grundläggande inställningar, samt användaruppgifterna till huvudadministratören, finns lagrade i filen "config.php", som finns i katalogen "config".
För att logga in på administrationsgränssnittet går man in på webbadressen till den fil som hanterar inloggning för programadministratörer, exempelvis:

I administrationsgränssnittet för Tävla enklare kan man ange befogenheterna för de som besöker tävlingsregistret. Här kan man ställa in om gästbesökare ska kunna registrera sig som användare eller inte, samt ange vilka registrerade användare som ska kunna registrera turneringar. Om en användare som sedan tidigare har en turnering registrerad blir av med sin möjlighet att registrera nya turneringar kommer inte de turneringar som han eller hon är huvudadministratör för att tas bort.
Det är även möjligt att logga in som en viss användare från administrationsgränssnittet för att göra önskade förändringar (exempelvis registrera om användaren om denne glömt sitt användarnamn, eller ändra inställningar för en turnering som användaren har registrerat). För att logga in som en användare går du in på länken "Hantera användare och deras turneringar". Här finns de registrerade användarna, samt de turneringar som de är huvudadministratörer för, som länkar. Om man klickar på länken till en användare kommer man till tävlingsregistrets startsida, och är då inloggad som användaren i fråga. Om man istället klickar på länken till en turnering kommer man direkt till den efterfrågade turneringen. Om man på det här sättet samtidigt är inloggad som administratör och användare kan man inte komma åt sidor som endast administratörer har åtkomst till. För att komma tillbaka till administrationsgränssnittet ska man logga ut den användare som man för tillfället administrerar.
I samband med att du installerar Tävla enklare väljer du om du vill aktivera det här administrationsgränssnittet eller inte. Om du är rekommenderad att aktivera detta eller ej beror delvis på hur du konfigurerar registret. Om alla besökare kan registrera sig själva, och om användare som registrerar sig själva automatiskt ska kunna registrera turneringar kan det vara onödigt att ha administrationsgränssnittet aktiverat. Då är det inte nödvändigt att som programadministratör gå in och registrera användare och ge användare befogenhet att registrera turneringar. Om det bara är programadministratörer som ska kunna registrera användare, eller om användare som registrerar sig själva inte automatiskt ska ges möjlighet att registrera turneringar, är det givetvis en annan sak. Om du har uppdaterat Tävla enklare från än tidigare version än 2.0 bör du i första läget aktivera administrationsgränssnittet; detta för att du ska kunna ange vilka befintliga användare som ska ha möjlighet att registrera turneringar. Om du vill aktivera eller avaktivera administrationsgränssnittet efter installationen måste du installera om Tävla enklare, eller alternativt manuellt ändra värdet på parametern $admin_aktiverat i konfigurationsfilen "config.php". Om du installerar om Tävla enklare försvinner ingen data ur tävlingsregistret - det är bara de inställningar som du ändrar på i samband med ominstallationen som förändras. Det är dock viktigt att du installerar om Tävla enklare till samma databas som tidigare.
Administrationsgränssnittet för Tävla enklare har två behörighetsnivåer. Den högsta behörighetsnivån är huvudadministratör. Det är huvudadministratörens användaruppgifter som man anger i samband med installationen, under förutsättning att man väljer att aktivera administrationsgränssnittet. Man kan bara ha en användare som huvudadministratör. Om huvudadministratören glömmer sitt lösenord måste Tävla enklare aktiveras om. Se förra avsnittet "Arbeta i administrationsgränssnittet" för info om hur detta går till. Som huvudadministratör kan man göra allt som övriga programadministratörer kan göra, samt registrera och avregistrera programadministratörer och ange tävlingsregistrets grundläggande inställningar. Den andra behörighetsnivån utgörs av eventuella övriga programadministratörer. Om en "vanlig" programadministratör glömmer sitt lösenord måste programadministratören i fråga tas bort och registreras på nytt.

If you have Invariant Sections, Front-Cover Texts and Back-Cover Texts, replace the "with … Texts." line with this:
with the Invariant Sections being LIST THEIR TITLES, with the
Front-Cover Texts being LIST, and with the Back-Cover Texts being LIST.
If you have Invariant Sections without Cover Texts, or some other combination of the three, merge those two alternatives to suit the situation.
